The wayward jelly offer
Dear Rashaun,
Some weeks ago a customer contacted your century-old company about one of its products.
Your response was impressive. You told her your company recognized her loyalty, valued what she had to say and took it seriously, and appreciated the time she had taken to make contact.
And you underscored your kind remarks by enclosing two coupons for a free jar of jam or jelly, or any other product your company makes, up to $4 retail value.
How could the customer not be touched by your response? Surely it was well received.
We can report, at least, that your letter and coupons made their way to a local Meijer supermarket. Presumably in the hands of your customer, who was eager, we might imagine, to get a couple of jars of free jelly.
Evidently it never happened. For we found your letter, and the attached coupons, in the main aisle off grocery -- about halfway between the store's front door and the jelly aisle.
We are enclosing your letter and coupons so that you might, if you think it proper, forward them to the customer. You could make her day again.
Thanks for your time, Rashaun, and all the best to you and Smuckers.
Sincerely,
Thiddle.com
